Greetings to all the stake holders from KVK College of Pharmacy…

It’s my pleasure and privilege to introduce our college which was established to provide the qualitative and quantitative pharmaceutical education to all the categories of students irrespective of their backgrounds with an aim to produce professionally competent, resilient and self-sustainable Pharmacists.

Our College offers various programs in pharmacy such B.Pharm, M.Pharm and Ph.D with an annual intake of 60, 15, and 30 students respectively. It is located in a pollution free environment despite being near to the Hyderabad city at a distance of 25 KM away from the main city and well connected with city buses and other modes of private transport. We have been successful in graduating more than 1000 students so far and all have been settled in their life with good pay and packages which always gives us a great satisfaction and real happiness.

Health is considered as the actual wealth of Individuals for which our pharmacy profession is dedicated and devoted to pursue the same. Besides being the core contributor of health to our nation, it has evolved from the importer of medicines to the exporter of medicines to all over the world. This shows that pharmacy profession not only improved the health of our nation but also added wealth to our nation with a potential of providing employments to millions of graduates in various fields of drug discovery and development.

The transformations from traditional lifestyle to digital lifestyle is presenting various challenges in terms of lifestyle diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Depression, Anxiety, and Cancer which is increasing the responsibility of Pharmaceutical Scientists to provide solutions for these problems through research and development. Thus, providing the unending opportunities for the pharmacy professionals in this field.

After reviewing the past developments and future predictions, I can confidently say that pharmacy profession is definitely one of the best choices a student can make to shape their career in the pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

Prof. Dr.N.Raghunandan, Principal, KVK College of Pharmacy, is a passionate academician and enthusiastic researcher with greater insights and instincts to catalyze learning, teaching and research activities among students and faculty members. He has rich experience and expertise to create the academic and research environment which is needed for the holistic development of individuals as well as Institution. He holds the best track record of remarkable contributions for the development of pharmacy teaching profession which has elevated him as one of the reputed and well recognized academic professional in pharmacy fraternity. He ignites and inspires budding pharmacists with his motivational speeches and also an able administrator who strikes a fine balance between academics and administration.

He earned bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Kakatiya University. He also qualified in GATE examination with 95 percentile. In addition to it, he holds the highest degree (Ph.D) in pharmaceutical sciences, being awarded by Kakatiya University for his research work on the topic “Synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds for possible biological activity”. His research areas of expertise include design, synthesis and development of new chemical entities, HPLC Method development, and development of various formulations. He has rich experience in both academics and administration. Nearly 20 years of teaching experience and 16 years of administrative experience helped him to scale new heights in his career as successful researcher, academician and wise administrator.

He has published 75 research papers in peer reviewed journals (National and International). He has been serving as Scientific Service Committee Member in Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) for the past 3 years. He had a privilege of being appointed as Member in Board of Studies in Pharmacy, Kakatiya University, Warangal. He is also a Life Member and General Secretary of Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Warangal City Branch, Warangal.

He has guided and awarded 6 Ph. D students from JNTUH, ANU and SRMU. He also guided 50 M.Pharm students for their project work in Kakatiya University, Warangal.

He is a life member of professional bodies – IPA and APTI, Pharma Alumni Association (UCPSc) and Executive Member for Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India .He is also the General Secretary of IPA, Warangal City Branch. He Worked as National Coordinator for 61st Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) held at Ahmedabad. He also worked as Co-Convener for the poster evalution session in the pharmaceutical chemistry, 62nd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) held at Manipal. He received a Pharmaceutical composition patent for treating cancer through nanoemulsions.

These are some of the important contributions by Prof.N.Raghunandan. In short, He is a man of academic and administrative excellence with an aim to provide quality education in pharmaceutical sciences.
